The Marshall Slash SL-5C packs all the punch of Slash’s signature Marshall sound into a 5 watt bedroom and studio-friendly combo. With bell-cleans to big crunch and signature Guns and Roses singing lead tones, this little amp is based off the classic Marshall JCM 800. Unlike most low-wattage amps, this combo is loaded with an EL34 power tube, providing that special response and midrange tightness that the original big boy Marshalls create. Also Marshall went big with a single 12” Celestion Vintage 30 speaker. This speaker has been a Rock ‘n’ Roll staple since the sixties, and we agree that you shouldn’t settle for anything less when recreating Slash’s signature sound. One last key feature is that the amp is switchable down to 1 watt – very helpful for those late night jam sessions, while still sounding great.
