If you could throw your bass amplifier into the front pouch of your gigbag or pedalboard…why wouldn’t you? This is the Darkglass Electronics Microtubes 900, a Class D powered 900 watt solid state bass amplifier with an active 4-band EQ and gain control, 2-way frequency switches on the Low and High Mids knobs, and a Microtubes Engine on the bottom row: an extra channel that will bring your clean tone to the next level by helping you cut through the mix while adding anything from subtle, tube-like, harmonics and natural compression to obliterating distortion.

There’s also an onboard blend knob to mix between the Clean and Distortion channels, and the overdrive has a toggle that selects between two overdrive circuits: B3K mode will deliver an aggressive, percussive sound while the VMT will bring up the mids for a warmer, more neutral character.
